Alfaisal University was founded by the highly reputable King Faisal Foundation in 2002 as one of the first Private Non-Profit, research and teaching universities in the Kingdom committed to achieving international standards of excellence. It has the support of national and international co-founders and distinguished Board Members that have continually supported the university in its mission to remain a student-centered institution committed to research.

The College of Medicine follows an innovative approach in the education of health professionals, including problem-based learning and community-based education.

We are proud to declare that Alfaisal University was recently ranked by the Times Higher Education (THE) as 2nd in the Arab region and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and 251-300 internationally. The College of Medicine (CoM) ranks 1st in Life Sciences (Medicine and Science) in the Arab region according to THE World University Rankings 2020 and the University received an International Outlook score of 98.1.

The International Office, College of Medicine oversees and manages the international affairs of the  College of Medicine, Alfaisal University. The International Office    is     responsible    for    administrating   and   developing

international student exchange agreements, including research, clinical, and volunteering programs, along with participation in local and international networks and cooperation with academic partners. The office is also responsible for regularly conducting courses, workshops and seminars to support students in their career development as well as providing them with comprehensive student-based support services.

The International Office, College of Medicine is the central point for coordination and implementation of all the procedures related to the CoM’s international cooperation. The CoM adopts an International Strategy that suits its college’s young and agile attitude, the methodology of which involves a three-fold process. First, to adopt a targeted approach in increasing the number of active strategic international partnerships and collaborations steadily over the years. Second, to establish an internal institutional organization that aids in the smooth establishment and implementation of the partnerships and collaborations. Third, to evaluate our existing international outlook, partnerships and collaborations and use the lessons learned to redirect our resources. Our International Strategy provides us a framework within which we can oversee and develop our numerous collaborations and partnerships that are focused on 3 key priority areas - Students, Education, and Research.
