What are your true incentives/objectives in terms of your Career as a practicing physician:
Is it that you just want to live in US mainly Vs You have a certain specialty in mind?
If you are more concerned about the specialty and you are aiming at a competitive field for Instance (Dermatology , plastic surgery, neurosurgery , Germany is a reasonable option and you can get what you want with reasonable effort.
Most importantly for those competitive fields, you are not struggling against the system (you will not get automatic rejection on your ERAS just because you are an IMG) all you need is to convince one single department head with your hard work to get into a residency.
Sometimes doctors need to think out of the box; instead of competing with the whole planet earth IMGs for limited specialties in US that do not include surgical ones, you are just competing with doctors who can speak German. In addition, all University education is for free in Germany so if you are interested in taking extra masters in fields related to medicine you can do as much as you wish.
80 % of the obstacles in the German pathway are related to language and visa, otherwise you can get a competitive specialty with reasonable effort
